With inconsistency a big issue for Adelaide Strikers, they have been alternating between wins and losses thus far. This side must find a balance soon enough to begin stringing victories on the trot. In brilliant form last time out, the Strikers easily saw off this same Renegades side. Batting first, AS got off to a brilliant start, posting a fantastic 171-5 on the board. Moving on to restrict MR to a mere 111 runs later on, the Strikers triumphed with 60 runs. Having shone on that day, AS will be counting on the duo of Ryan Gibson and Jake Weatherald to rise to the occasion once again.
Having failed last season the Spurs should have pulled themselves together and shown their strength while the leaders are not very old, but the preseason showed that the team has huge problems in all lanes, because three defeats in a row is clearly not what to expect from such a solid team. Rebuilding San Antonio’s game always takes time, but whether the fans will forgive another disastrous season and whether the management will agree to this is a big question. The Spurs clearly lack stability, so it is difficult to count on high places.
