CSK will be happy to play with DC at DY Patil Stadium. It has won two of the three games it has played at this venue and will at least have some fond memories of it. However, the team still has a lot of work to do before they can be considered a top T20 team again. We like the fact that both Devon Conway and Moeen Ali are back in the lineup for CSK. That could work well against the heavy left arm bowling lineup that DC has. Conway has back-to-back fifties to his name and could be a hitter to back up in this match. Robin Uthappa, Amabati Rayadu and Ravindra Jadeja will form the middle tier, with Doni and Pretorius coming at the end to wrap up. We could see some changes and bring Dwayne Bravo back or even rest Jadeja if he has a slight wobble from the injury he picked up in the previous game. CSK’s punching power is strong, but it takes almost everything to work as they end up lacking in explosiveness. The bowling attack for CSK was also a big disappointment. Not having Deepak Chahar available is a major blow as Mukesh Chaudhary or SIMranjeet Singh are nowhere near a capable replacement. Jadeja also had a rough time with the ball in IPL 2022 and Pretorius is pretty hittable during death crossings as well. That leaves Moeen Ali and M Theekshana to carry the bowling lineup for CSK. There isn’t too much help for the spinners at DY Patil Stadium and that might make life a bit difficult for the CSK spinners.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have played 11 games in the competition so far, winning 6 games. RCB met Chennai Super Kings in the last game. They recorded a 13-run win over Dhoni’s team. The top performers for the RCB team in that game were Faf du Plessis and Mahipal Lomror with 38 and 42 runs respectively. The last time when these two teams met this season, SRH comprehensively beat RCB by 9 wickets. Right-handed South African batsman du Plessis is a key figure in the RCB squad. He only managed 5 runs in the last game against the same opponent. But he’s the kind of player who can get good at any time. He’s one of the top contenders to perform well in this match. Another usual suspect is Australia’s right-handed dasher Glen Maxwell, who is also an off-break bowler for the RCB team. Also in the last game against Hyderabad he was not very successful and could only manage 12 runs with the racquet. There’s another key player on the batting side and that’s Harshal Patel. He also doubles as a right pacemaker for RCB. He took a wicket in the last game against SRH. More today ipl match betting can be obtained from the link provided.
