DC lost their last match against LSG by just 6 runs, a margin that we think flatters their performance a bit. A few bad decisions and decisions during the batting stint had more or less ended their hunt well before some free limits were reached.

DC haven't won back-to-back games in IPL 2022 so far and need to find a way to fix their inconsistency. In every single game they have won to date, Kuldeep Yadav has been the man of the match and hence his importance to this DC squad cannot be underestimated.

As a bowling entity, DC has some excellent options but lacks enough depth. Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman and even Axar Patel have been excellent, but Chetan Sakariya, Lalit Yadav and Shardul Thakur just aren't reliable enough. It was a surprise that Khaleel Ahmed was left out after a good start and may run again in the team.

DC's batting roster is looking a lot better now that Rovman Powell is on form. He, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur form a very good bottom line that can contribute with a few runs on a regular basis. The top order is also on paper with Shaw, Warner and Marsh in the top three, followed by Pant and Lalit Yadav.

The DC team is a bit lacking in spark, but seems to have the pieces to pull off a win in this match.

SRH lost two matches to start, won the next five matches and has now lost two more straight away. It's fourth in the table and also has a healthy net run rate but would love to get another win just to get back on track.

All of the excitement surrounding SRH stemmed from the bowling lineup. Umran Malik is making waves around the world with his pace and seems to have improved as a bowler too. He now has the most wickets by a capless bowler in IPL history.

With Bhuveneshwar Kumar and T Nataraj also finding their rhythm and the impressive Marco Jansen in support, SRH DC's Seam Bowling stocks are undeniably superior. The problem is with their spin bowling option. Washington Sundar is injured and will have to fall back on his left-arm spinner Jagadeesh Suchith or bring in the leggy Shreyas Gopal.

This spin bowling option could be a weak link for DC to exploit.

Batting SRH has been pretty good in previous games as Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran are all in good form. Rahul Tripathi has had a few quiet games, but he's also not someone to count on.
