Manchester City are not in the most difficult group. Pep Guardiola’s team is vying for a spot in the playoffs with PSG, Leipzig and Club Brugge. In the first round the “townspeople” met resistance from “Leipzig”, but due to the regular mistakes of the “bulls” in defense they managed to get a landslide victory with a score 6:3 in their field. In the second round, “Manchester City” was considered the favorite in the confrontation with PSG. Last season the “townspeople” did not allow the French to make it to the final of the tournament, by all accounts and in the next face-to-face meeting, the British looked stronger. However, PSG did not forgive mistakes that evening and won a 2:0 victory in Paris. The 5:1 victory over Club Brugge in the last round made it possible to bypass the Belgians, but the townspeople are still second in the group and are losing one point to PSG.
For several years PSG has set itself the task of winning the Champions League and is gradually getting closer and closer to the trophy, with the arrival of Lionel Messi, the chances of the Parisians should increase even more. However, in the first round in full combat strength, Mauricio Pochettino’s team could not beat Brugge away, failing to surprise the Belgians on their field. However, in the second round the Parisians actually proved the seriousness of their intentions. In the home match with Manchester City, they were considered outsiders, but were able to take all three points thanks to goals from Idriss Gueye and Lionel Messi. In the home meeting with Leipzig in the last round, PSG could have been left without points. Until the 67th minute, the bulls were in the lead, but then conceded twice and left Paris empty-handed.
