The young Norwegians made it to the final stage of the Euro thanks to their victory in the qualifying group. The “Vikings” managed to surpass the Croatians in the battle for the first place, despite initially lagging behind. Judging by the group composition, it won’t be easy in this tournament as they will have to compete with the Swiss, French, and Italians. In mid-June, the team played two friendly matches against the Scots, both of which ended in draws – 0-0 and 1-1.
Switzerland U21 finished in second place in their qualifying group, losing the battle for the top spot to the Dutch. Since the Swiss had the best result among the teams that finished second, they automatically qualified for the final stage of the Euro. Prior to the tournament, they managed to play one match in mid-June, where they were defeated by their German counterparts with a score of 1-3. Their main goal in the tournament is to showcase their best football.
