The Premier Division rookie in England has a solid start into the new season. Brentford confidently passed the first two stages of the English League Cup, in which they beat Forest Green (3:1) and Oldham (7:0) in turn. After a powerful start, Londoners slowed down and slipped into the second ten. Following the success in the match with Everton (1:0), the hosts were defeated away by Tottenham (0:2).
