Everton hasn’t been able to win a single match in the last five, ending up with three draws, and two losses. Peterborough on the other hand, have a similar situation as they also have one draw and four losses in their last five games. The last encounter between both the teams was in 2006 in the FA cup Round of 64 where Everton won 2 to 1 making it only one meeting they have had over the years.

Everton

In the past five games, Everton has not won a match, but in some of the past games they fought hard and even ended up pooling with Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal. Unfortunately, they lost against Nottingham 2-0 and Bournemouth 1-0. Everton made it to round of 32 in FA cup last year but they lost to Luton Town 2-1. Everton has been struggling in the premier league as they have only been able to score 15 goals this season and are ranked second lowest in the league. In five of the last games played Everton was only able to score a single goal, four being draws.

Peterborough

Last season Peterborough reached the FA Cup’s Round of 64. But there they were beaten by Leeds United 0-3 in a home match. In the current FA Cup, they began in Round 128 after battling Newport County and recording a 4-2 victory. Then, they played an exciting match with Notts County winning 4-3. Peterborough is competing in league one, which is the third level of English football leagues. They have been in poor form without a win in their previous five games. They are presently 19th in the standings, having 25 goals from 24 games, which is only five points above the relegation territory. Which, in turn, hints to a richly exciting fight for a spot above the relegation zone.

Prediction

Considering that both teams are a bit on the weaker side to put it mildly, with shaky form and all, it would logically follow that constricting to home ground would greatly assist Everton in garnering the upper hand due to them having a stronger squad overall. Given my expectations that they will pass onto the next stage, I do recommend you put your bets on Everton scoring more than two goals while getting a 1.53 odd.
