Olybet has been around since 2010. Actually since 1993, when the parent company Olympic Entertainment Group founded. From 1993 to 2010 this Estonian holding had been working exclusively offline. The company had (and still have) a big network of land-based sport-bars, casinos in Estonia and Latvia.

Olympic Group entered the online market in 2010 with the foundation of the Olympic-Online bookmaker. In 2013 it was rebranded to Olybet, and olybet.eu had been launched. The bookie works under the license from the gaming board of Estonia. Olybet has many country restrictions and mostly focuses on the northern European market (Estonia, Latvia, Finlandia, Sweden).

The mass player is the most desired type of client for Olybet. The sportsbook section is just called “Sports”. Recently, the bookmaker switched to popular BetConstruct software, and their website lost big time when it comes to usability. Even if the Betconstruct platform is functional, it’s still not comfortable for the average user. The platform is well-known for awful zoning and slow response time. On the bright side, Olybet has apps for Android/iOS and a LiveChat.

With switching to a mass provider Olybet also lost its charm. Previously, the bookmaker had a unique but not fascinating betting offer. Now, the coverage is bigger but lacks any uniqueness. There are like 1000 bookmakers with the same betting offer. Yeah, the bookie offers like 3000 pre-match events, 20 000 live matches (monthly), 30 different categories. But no player in the world will choose Olybet, because of their coverage. Because this coverage is derivative and could be easily found elsewhere. As for the odds, they are average at best (93-95% payout).

The live betting section is decent too: many events, animations, live streaming, fast bet. The cash-out option is also available for bettors. The biggest disadvantage of the live product is its inconsistency: odds mistakes, slow refreshment speed, blocked markets.

So, what is the bottom line of our Olybets’s review? It’s not the best bookmaker out there, as it lacks uniqueness and its website not very user-friendly. However, the bookie has interesting bonus offers and is pretty safe. At least, Estonian and Latvian players are more or less satisfied with Olybet. But in our opinion, the bookmaker was better before switching to the Betconstruct.
