Due to health problems, Ashleigh Barty was unable to complete the clay part of the season on a positive note. At the last tournaments in Rome and Paris the Australian tennis player withdrew from matches. The pause was good. Ashleigh recovered completely and quite confidently went through the tournament path to the final in London. Barty gave the only set in the tournament grid in the first round in a confrontation with Carla Suarez-Navarro (6-1, 6-7, 6-1). In the future the first racket of the world went through five matches in the tournament grid without losing games. Rivals were Blinkova, Sinyakova, Kreichikova, Tomlyanovich and Kerber. In the semifinals Barty went through a real test of strength in the confrontation with the champion of Wimbledon-2018 Angelica Kerber (6-3, 7-6). The German tennis player is in great shape, managed to impose a fight on Ashleigh. But Barty was almost flawless: she gave up her serve only once, won 88% of the points on the first serve, showed an excellent ratio for winners-enforcers (38-16). It is clearly not easy for any opponent on the round to hold back such an Ashleigh.
In the current tournament Bagnis has not experienced any particular difficulties in any of the matches. The Argentine tennis player beat all his opponents in two games with a fairly confident score. In the first round of the competition, Facundo defeated Thiago Seibot Wilde (6-3, 6-2), then the Frenchman Hugo Gaston (6-4, 6-1) and the Slovenian Damir Cumhur (6-1, 6-2) were defeated.
