Following a poor run of form that saw Brisbane Heat lose back-to-back games last week, they quickly regained their footing to pick up maximum points from their remaining two fixtures comfortably toppling Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers to command a fourth-place finish. As the Heat head into this knockout fixture, they will be happy to welcome Marnus Labuschagne back into the squad. He is an experienced batsman, who is likely to control the middle-order brilliantly. Other players to look out for include Max Bryant and Jimmy Peirson.
The Clippers have no less losses. The two main stars of the sailing ships are not playing, namely Kawhi Leonard and George Paul. In addition to them, Patrick Beverly is in the infirmary. In the previous fight Tyrone Lew’s charges tried to give a fight to Atlanta, but they failed. The best in the Clippers was Reggie Jackson with 20 points. Serge Ibaka also scored 15 points. Despite this, the sailboats lost 99-108. It seems that in the near future the Los Angeles team will need to learn to play without their leaders. George and Leonard will be away for at least a week.
