Los Angeles Kings
It seems that the decline of the Los Angeles Kings is finally behind them. In the last six matches, the “Kings” suffered only one defeat, losing on the road to Buffalo with a devastating score of 0-7. However, right after that, they managed to defeat New Jersey (2:1), Boston (5:4 OT), and Pittsburgh (2:1). The “Kings” remain in the seventh position in the Eastern Conference but have opened up a four-point gap from the eighth-placed St. Louis, with two games in hand.
Columbus Blue Jackets
Columbus resides at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. After 53 matches, the team has only accumulated 44 points, trailing the second-to-last position by four points. In other words, this season doesn’t offer much hope for them. In their last match, the Ohio club secured an away victory against another struggling team, San Jose (4:3). Before that, the Blue Jackets suffered two consecutive defeats, against Tampa Bay (2:4) and Ottawa (3:6).
