In the head-to-head matchups between the Washington Wizards and the Dallas Mavericks, only 34 games have been played. The hosts of today's match have secured 12 victories, while the guests have 22 wins to their credit. The last game between these teams took place on January 25, 2023, and ended with a score of 126:127.
Washington Wizards
Washington continues to face setbacks. The Wizards are performing very unconvincingly, and as a result, the team is positioned in the lower part of the standings. The Wizards haven’t won for almost a week, when they dismantled “Charlotte” on the road (132:116). After that, they experienced a three-game losing streak, losing the last one to “Toronto” (107:111). The team approaches the clash with “Dallas” in less than optimal form.
Dallas Mavericks
Dallas has had an excellent start to the new season. Jason Kidd’s team has won almost all their matches and is now considered one of the leaders in the Western Conference. However, in the last match, the team from Texas faced a setback. On that occasion, Luka Doncic and company couldn’t overcome “New Orleans,” and the meeting ended in a loss with a score of 110:131.
Prediction
Our expert pick:
We expect that this time "Dallas" will perform more successfully. "Washington" is not as formidable an opponent as "New Orleans." The Wizards are still in crisis, so even on their home court, they can hardly expect a favorable outcome. Our prediction is "Dallas" with a handicap (-3.5) points at odds of 1.74. "Washington" has had some issues with offensive play in recent matches. The Wizards didn't score many points in those games. Considering this, we doubt that the meeting will be high-scoring. Prediction: total under 243.5 points. You can place this bet at odds of 1.86.
