PAOK

PAOK has won the Greek championship only for the fourth time in its history, but it is attempting to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League for the eighth time. The previous seven attempts have not been successful for the club from Thessaloniki. However, it seems that this year PAOK has a great chance to end this unfavorable streak. At the very least, the 2-2 draw away from home is an excellent result to hope for a spot in the playoff stage of the qualifiers.

In the previous round of qualifying, PAOK managed to eliminate the Bosnian and Herzegovinian team Borac Banja Luka with results of 3-2 and 1-0 away. The Greek Super League season has not yet started.

Malmo

Unlike PAOK, Malmö has already competed in the group stage of the Champions League, and not just once, but three times. However, this experience was far from successful. Each time Malmö finished in last place in their group. In the previous qualifying round, the Swedish champions eliminated the modest KI Klaksvik from the Faroe Islands, winning 4-1 at home but losing 2-3 away.

It is likely that Malmö will be competing in the Champions League again next season, as they currently lead the Allsvenskan after 18 rounds, with a six-point lead over Djurgården. However, recent results for the sky-blue team have been unimpressive. Malmö won 1-0 away at Halmstad over the weekend, but before that, they suffered a surprising 0-1 defeat to modest Sirius. In their last five league matches, Malmö has only earned 9 points.
