“Panathinaikos” did not have much success in the Greek Championship last season—they clearly aimed for the title but did not even manage to participate in the championship race. With 72 points, the “Greens” finished in fourth place in the table, but they did end the season on a high note by winning the Greek Cup.

Botev

“Botev” has already managed to advance past one opponent in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers, creating a minor upset. In their tie against “Maribor,” the team under Dushan Kerkez was not considered the favorite, but they won the first leg 2-1 at home. In the away leg, “Botev” delivered a strong second half and held on for a 2-2 draw in Slovenia.
