Milan

AC Milan definitely aimed to give their competitors a run for their money in the race for the title and looked more than worthy at the start, exerting pressure on the rapidly emerging Napoli. However, the Rossoneri’s ambitions did not last long and in the first round, the Neapolitans took a serious lead and practically left Milan with no chance of success. At the moment, the Scudetto is no longer on the agenda, and the goals are much more modest but no less challenging in the conditions of the highest competition. Milan is currently third in the table with 51 points, but is only three points ahead of sixth-placed Atalanta. In the last round, the Rossoneri performed a miracle in Naples, managing to crush Napoli 4-0 on their own field.

Empoli

At the start of the season, “Empoli” was considered a contender for relegation, although they were certainly not at the top of this rating. Last season, the “Azzurri” indicated that they planned to stay in the elite for a long time. Overall, Paolo Zanetti’s team had a decent first half of the season, not without problems, but “Azzurri” were able to distance themselves from the danger zone fairly quickly. As they approach the 29th round, “Empoli” is in 14th place in the table, but is hardly considered a contender for relegation. They are 12 points ahead of 18th-placed “Verona”, which allows them to look to the future with optimism. In the last round, “Azzurri” defeated “Lecce” at home with a score of 1-0 in a very difficult match. This victory allowed them to break a series of four consecutive defeats.
