Manchester City
Manchester City is once again showing a less than confident start in the Premier League, which has become somewhat of a trend for the Sky Blues. Although last season, multiple dropped points didn’t stop Pep Guardiola’s team from ultimately becoming champions, this season is looking less promising so far.
After four consecutive wins at the start, City recorded draws against Arsenal and Newcastle (2-2 and 1-1), which currently places them in second in the Premier League standings. In the Champions League, the team also got off to a shaky start, drawing 0-0 at home with Inter, but they bounced back midweek with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Slovan.

Fulham
The Cottagers have started this season fairly successfully. Typically, the London side struggles to deliver consistent results, despite having a solid squad, but in the opening matches, they have shown some solid form. In the first round, the team almost snatched points at Old Trafford, losing to Manchester United in the dying moments of the match (0-1).
That loss remains Fulham’s only defeat so far. The team has drawn against Ipswich and West Ham (both 1-1) but secured wins over Leicester (2-1), Newcastle (3-1), and Nottingham (1-0) last weekend. This strong start sees the Cottagers in sixth place in the table after six rounds.
