Fiorentina

Fiorentina, having gained financial stability with the advent of a new owner a few years ago, have seriously strengthened and clearly counted on progress, but the mentors are changing and the result clearly does not live up to the expectations of the fans. Despite a very solid squad, the Violets have not yet managed to get close to the European Cup zone, one can only dream of fighting for the Champions League. Based on the results of 20 rounds, the team of Vincenzo Italiano is on the 12th line in the table, being five points behind the seventh Udinese. The handicap does not look critical, but with the presence of Juventus and Torino in the competitors, the chances tend to be zero. In the last round Fiorentina saved a 1:1 draw in the away match against Lazio thanks to a magnificent long-range shot by Nico Gonzalez, but the streak without victories lasted to three matches.

Torino

Torino, just like its current rival, definitely counted on finishing in the European Cup zone, although objectively the Bulls are inferior to the Florentines in terms of the selection of players. Until recently, until 15 points were taken from Juventus, the prospects for Ivan Yurych’s team to succeed in the fight for a place in the top seven were not even visible through binoculars, but the situation has changed. With 27 points Torino are currently eighth in the table, being just two points behind seventh Udinese. At the same time, taking into account the instability of the “bulls”, as well as high competition, it is unlikely that they can be recorded as clear contenders for the seventh line. In the last round Torino drew a bright 2:2 draw with Empoli away, managing to remain undefeated in the second match in a row.
