Chelsea
For the “Blues,” last season was highly inconsistent, but despite the difficulties, the team still managed to secure a spot in European competitions. Although it’s only the Conference League and not the coveted Champions League, Chelsea did not take the third most important European tournament lightly.
After defeating Swiss side Servette 2-0 at home, the “Pensioners” lost the return leg 1-2. However, this didn’t prevent them from advancing to the group stage. In the first round of the new Premier League season, Chelsea lost their home match to Manchester City (0-2), but in the second round, they thrashed Wolverhampton 6-2 away.

Crystal Palace
The “Eagles” performed well last season, finishing 10th in the Premier League. Under the leadership of Oliver Glasner, who joined the team in February, the Eagles had a strong preseason, with five friendlies, no losses, and three wins.
However, the opening round of the new Premier League season was a disaster for the Eagles—their London derby against Brentford ended in a 1-2 defeat. In the second round, also a derby, Crystal Palace lost to West Ham 0-2. Midweek, the Eagles defeated Norwich 4-0 in the English League Cup.
