Bayer Leverkusen

In the previous round, Bayer played a goalless draw against Wolfsburg, thus ending their five-game winning streak in the Bundesliga. Javi Alonso’s team has been playing superbly since the end of February. With each round, they manage to strengthen their position in the ranking, and on April 13th, they managed to secure a place in the Europa League semi-finals, defeating Saint-Gilles by a total score of 5-2, with a draw (1-1) on their home field, but a 4-1 victory on the road. The team is currently in sixth place in the table, but they can’t afford to relax, as Eintracht is only two points behind them.

Leipzig

Leipzig won the last two rounds. First, they defeated “Hertha” (1-0), and then they managed to win against “Augsburg” (3-2). These victories allowed Marco Rose’s team to climb to fourth place in the rankings, having 51 points in their piggy bank. It is impossible not to notice that the attacking line has been playing well lately and they manage to score in almost every match, often not just once. However, it is a little concerning that the upcoming opponent is significantly higher in class than the previous two opponents they managed to beat, who are located at the bottom of the rankings and the victories were with a minimal score. The upcoming opponent is very close in the league table.
