Arsenal
Last season, the “Gunners” did everything they could to challenge the favorites, Manchester City. The title race continued until the final matchday, but Arsenal never saw the “Citizens” slip up. In the end, Arsenal finished in second place, just two points behind Manchester City.
In preparation for the new season, Arsenal played several friendly matches, including in prestigious tournaments. In five games, the “Gunners” lost only to Liverpool (1-2), while they secured victories against Bournemouth (2-1), Manchester United (2-1), Bayer Leverkusen (4-1), and French side Lyon (2-0).

Wolverhampton
The “Wolves” secured their Premier League status early last season and were essentially just playing out the final matches. They finished the season with three consecutive defeats against Manchester City (1-5), Crystal Palace (1-3), and Liverpool (0-2). The team ended up in 14th place in the standings, 20 points clear of the relegation zone.
Wolverhampton played several friendly matches in preparation for the new season, although they did not face top-tier opponents like Arsenal. Gary O’Neil’s team managed to defeat Como (1-0), West Ham (3-1), and RB Leipzig (3-0). However, they also suffered defeats to Crystal Palace (1-3) and Rayo Vallecano (0-1) during the offseason.
