Bookmaker Rating Methodology
This page explains how Odds2Win evaluates bookmakers and how ranking positions are determined. The goal is to separate editorial assessment from commercial relationships and make score changes traceable.
Contents
Bookmaker availability, licensing and product features vary by country. A high score does not mean an operator is available or legal in every jurisdiction, and it does not remove the financial risk of gambling.
Scoring framework
New and re-audited bookmakers are assessed on a 100-point framework and then converted to a 10-point editorial score.
Regulatory information, operator identity, transparency of terms and material reputation concerns.
Range of sports and markets, pre-match and live coverage, price competitiveness and market depth.
Available payment methods, clarity of withdrawal rules, fees, limits and verification requirements.
Navigation, bet-slip usability, mobile experience, stability and access to important account information.
Support channels, accessibility of help information and clarity of material customer-facing terms.
Responsible-gambling information, account controls where offered, age restrictions and country-specific availability notices.
How scores are interpreted
- 9.0–10.0: very strong overall editorial assessment with few material weaknesses identified in the reviewed market.
- 8.0–8.9: strong overall assessment with some limitations or weaker areas.
- 7.0–7.9: acceptable overall assessment but with several points users should review carefully.
- Below 7.0: material limitations, weaker terms, narrower product quality or other concerns reduce the score.
Legacy ratings and new bookmakers
The bookmaker scores currently restored on the Odds2Win homepage are the last published editorial ratings from the previous ranking system. They are preserved rather than silently recalculated.
A new bookmaker may appear without a numerical score until a full editorial review is completed. Existing scores are changed only after a new review against the current framework.
Affiliate relationships
Some bookmaker links on Odds2Win are affiliate links. Odds2Win may receive a commission if a user follows one of these links and completes a qualifying action.
Commercial relationships do not automatically determine a bookmaker’s score or ranking position. A bookmaker can be included, moved, downgraded or left unrated based on editorial review.
Review and update rules
- Scores may be reviewed when licensing, ownership, payment terms, product availability or other material conditions change.
- Country-specific versions of the same bookmaker are not treated as separate brands in the main ranking unless the product or regulatory position materially differs.
- Promotional bonuses are not a primary scoring factor because offers change frequently and may be restricted by location or eligibility.
- A review reflects conditions known at the time of the assessment; users should verify current operator terms before registering or depositing.
- Odds2Win may remove or suspend a rating if important information cannot be verified.
