West Ham 

West Ham had a decent season overall but clearly aimed for more – they were undoubtedly targeting a spot in European competitions but failed to achieve that goal. The Hammers finished ninth in the table with 52 points, trailing sixth-placed Chelsea by 11 points. In the summer, Julen Lopetegui took over as head coach.

Wolverhampton

Wolverhampton had no opportunity to set more ambitious goals than simply staying in the Premier League last season – which they managed to do. Stability was lacking throughout the championship for Gary O’Neil’s team, but the Wolves finished 14th, securing their place in the top flight well before the season ended.
