It has been an exciting season so far, laden with nerve-cracking moments. Struggling to get their wits about them, SRH have been largely inconsistent this term. However, they are favorites to bag maximum points against this out-of-sorts CSK side in a few hours’ time.
With some brilliant attacking efforts in the closing innings, both Priyam Garg and Kane Williamson flourished. In that game, their bowlers were also on fire, beginning the match on the front-foot. They did particularly well in reducing RR to 78/5 in 12 overs.
However, their lack of inconsistency cost them later on as performances dwindled drastically. To the dismay of coach Trevor Bayliss, his bowlers conceded a massive number of runs in the last 6 overs. Surely, he’ll expect a much better showing from these ones on Tuesday.
CSK were on the wrong end of a humbling defeat on the last matchday, as they were brought down to bare bones versus Royal Challengers Bangalore. Lacking any real cutting edge in their batting, they couldn’t cause their opposition any real problems throughout the game.
Truth be told, Faf Du Plessis and Shane Watson were impressive, both players breaching 50 runs. Jagadeesan’s debut was one to forget as his strike rate couldn’t surpass 120. Also, MS Dhoni is yet to make his mark this season.
While SRH have their problems, CSK are overwhelmed with drawbacks. They are simply not good enough to compete this season. Like clockwork, expect SRH to stroll to victory here.
